Inside Our Personal Budget
Excel Template
The internet has made it easier than ever to spend money on things we don't need. If we're not careful, it's easy to continue spending without seeing the opportunity cost of what that money could turn into in the future.
That creates a need in understanding our personal budget and finances. After all, we can't make changes to our spending habits if we don't know where our money is currently going.
Welcome to the Personal Budget Excel Template. It's an amazingly useful template to help you understand where your money is going.
The first component of the template is the Salary Calculations sheet. Input your gross salary along with tax rates and health insurance etc,.
The second component is Personal Budget sheet. This is where you will input fixed costs, such as rent or mortgage and car payment etc,. and variable costs like eating out and groceries. It will then calculate how much disposable income is left over.
The final component is the Monthly Savings Evolution sheet. This syncs up the data from the two previous sheets to help you see how your savings accumulate over time. You can also add data that you couldn't include in the previous sheets like passive income, additional income and stock portfolio value.
You don't need to be an Excel expert to make use of our templates. Each template is standardized with an 'Introduction' tab that gives you an overview and specific instructions on how to navigate the template. The introduction sheet contains four parts.
