We start in the Wordle Game Sheet. This sheet resembles the NYTimes version of Wordle. We have the grid where we make our guesses on top, and below that we have the letters if the alphabet that acts as your indicators. Playing the game is pretty simple. To start a new game and generate a new random word, you can click on the New Game Button (There’s also a full screen button right beside it if you want a larger workbook). In the yellow cells on the left we enter our 5-letter guesses. Do note that each 5-letter word guess needs to be a valid word or else it would return an error. Entering a word that is less than or greater than 5 letters would also return an error.
Every time you press enter, your guesses get registered. It shows each letter of the guess in each tile and gives off a corresponding color… just like Wordle! Green = Correct letter in the right position. Yellow = The letter is present in the word but in a different position than your guess. Gray = The letter doesn’t exist in the word. Every guess you make updates the letters at the bottom according to the color of the tiles. Whenever you get a green tile, the letter appears on top. You get six attempts then enter your guess word.
Once you get your result, you can enter your name, hit the save game results button, and you can view your performance along with your competitors in the Analysis sheet which you can filter using the provided slicers. You can filter the results by player name, month, and week. You also get some charts to see the rankings of your own stats or of everyone’s. Whoever said that Excel isn't fun?
