Our Application Tracker System (ATS) Excel & Google Sheets spreadsheet template is another, and may we say one that you should consider. This template was designed in collaboration with Jordan Z., a seasoned recruiter with 10-years of experience of building teams and recruiting talent. Jordan reached out about a solution that would fit his team’s needs and track their KPIs.
Our Application Tracking System fit Jordan’s needs in a way that was scalable and built for HR teams. Aside from the ease and efficiency of using this template, you’ll also avoid expensive recurring billing and extended setup times. Â

As with most of our templates, start by customizing the template to your organizational standards. Start by adding Position Titles, Departments, Branch, and Application Source to your Database Lists tab. In the Jobs tab, add positions you are hiring for and details like Target Score to Hire, Required to Hire, Total Applicants and more. These details will auto populate elsewhere on your spreadsheet to save you time and reduce costly errors.
Move over to the Applicants Raw Data tab and enter in applicant information. You can also fill out brief details on their Interview Date, who they were First Interviewed By, their Interview Score, their Current Stage, Status, Hiring Date, and Notes.
As you update your Application Tracking System, details will automatically be loaded into your ATS Dashboard. This is the coolest part of the template as it empowers you to analyze your hiring pipeline through graphs, charts and KPIs.
Visuals include bar charts, pie graphs and plots for Average Time to Fill role, Applicants Pipeline, Pass Through Rate % Application Source. These data points can help you make smarter decisions about your hiring processes and where your team is succeeding or failing. You can also use slicers to segment these data points by Department, Position Title, Job Code and more.
